Vijayawada

Day 56- Vizag to Vwada – 19 Oct 2018

We are ready for the last halt of our trip – Vijayawada, which is almost 300km away from Vizag! We had no plans of sight seeing at Vijayawada, and it was just a night halt before we could reach our home in Bangalore! We started from the hotel at 11 AM, and we were on NH-16 which was mostly four lane toll roads, and the drive was smooth! Except for lunch, we did not really stop anywhere and reached our stay in Vijayawada by evening. We had our dinner at the hotel itself, and did not step out for anything, and soon headed to sleep!

Day 57 – Vwada to Bangalore – 20 Oct 2018

The stay in Vijayawada was not that great, and we were actually much relieved as this feeling helped us to get out of the room faster without thinking too much that this is the last day of the trip! However as we got inside the car, we started realising that we are going to wake up from a beautiful dream soon! The highway was smooth as usual, and we did not really plan to halt or step out for anything except for lunch!

Our parents had come from Kerala to Bangalore already, out of their nervousness, and were eagerly waiting there to welcome us back home! I could hear wife slowly telling my daughter that we will soon reach home, and we have to go back to school and offices in the coming days! She was actually trying to set a context for the kid, so that it gets easier for her. Ever since she was two years old, she has been going to day care! This was the first time in her life, where she spent two complete months 24*7 with us, and we could really see how happy she is! We thought of the office, emails, day to day routines which were all highly forgotten! We passed by Tirupati in between, though we did not halt to make a visit to the temple! The place looked all divine by itself, and the houses, the people and minutest details were all having a shade of tradition, culture and spirituality in them ! As we finally crossed the Karnataka border and as Bangalore sign boards started showing up, we stopped one last time to click a picture of the car with the signboard in the backdrop! The odometer read 12000 kilometres! Plans for longer road trips and route maps already started flashing in my mind! Bangalore and home – here we come! After all, all roads lead to love and home is where love lives!
